An investment of 90 million euros, to strenghten the electricity distribution system

Enemalta has announced an investment plan to improvement its infrastructure across Malta and Gozo.

Works have already started in a number of localities and will maintain a steady pace throughout the six-year timeline. This investment includes the construction of around 40 to 50 new substations per year, as well as the renovation to existing ones. The plan includes also replacement of lines, installation of line voltage regulators, as well as the expansion of the Tarxien, Marsaskala, and Mrieħel Distribution Centers, together with the construction of a new Distribution Center in Naxxar.
