Delimara Power Station

The Delimara Power Station complex at Marsaxlokk includes the four electricity generation plants that we dispatch on a daily basis to provide the electrical energy required by our customers in Malta and Gozo.


Our network

Our engineers and technicians are entrusted with the development, maintenance and operation of the national grid, the system which distributes electricity from power stations to all our customers.

The Malta-Italy Interconnector is the longest high voltage alternating current interconnector of its capacity in the world.

The history of electricity

Electricity was introduced in Malta in the late nineteenth century. Since then, we have come a long way, commissioning several power stations and constantly expanding the distribution network to meet the country’s constantly-increasing demand for electrical energy.


Directors and management

Our Company is directed by a Board of Directors appointed by our shareholders. The administration of our operations is entrusted to a Board of Management comprising executive heads and divisional managers.
