Reinforcing electricity supply in Marsascala and surrounding localities

Construction works related to the extension of the Marsascala Distribution Center which supplies parts of Marsaskala, Żabbar, Żejtun, Għaxaq, Marsaxlokk and Delimara with electricity are underway.

Pre-fabricated walls are currently being assembled to form rooms to house the necessary equipment, which includes a transformer bay, 11kV Switchgear and a Distribution Center Control room.

Moroever, 33kV switchgear will be installed in an existing room.

This investment will provide the Distribution Center with the necessary capacity to meet the constantly growing electricity demand. In the coming months the equipment required for this extension will be
installed and tested.
